The public is invited to a free reception for the participating artists that will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 2 at Imago Gallery, 36 Market St. in Warren. The festivities will include a short performance at 6:30 p.m. by the Bristol Shakespeare Reader’s Group. Warren resident Sarah Weed will join Bristol residents Ray Edler, Joni Pratt, Thomas Tihen, and Jim Manchester in a celebration of familiar and perhaps not so familiar quotations gleaned from many of the Bard’s 37 plays. Each participant has chosen a favorite quote to declaim as the “audience” at Imago celebrates the eclectic art that will be on display.
IFA exhibiting artists and community members participating in this exhibit include David Clarke, Eileen Siobhan Collins, Mary Dondero, Elwood Donnelly, Vivian Eyre, Stephen Fisher, Philip Gruppuso, Gary Heise, Carl Keitner, Lenny Rumpler, Mike Marino, Eileen Mayhew, Linda Megathlin, Rina Naik, Mercedes Nuñez, Kathleen Reaves, Anne Marie Rossi, Howard Rotblat-Walker, Howard Windham and Meredith Wolf.
Former IFA exhibiting artists participating include Jeanne Arthur, Damian Bellotti, Ellen Blomgren, Chuck Boucher, Douglas Breault, Sue Butler, Linda DiFrenna, Rose Esson-Dawson, Charles Francis, Betty Harrington, Kathleen Hemenway, John Irwin, Lisa Legato, Lindsay Mac, David Pinkham, Nicole St. Pierre, Michael Somers, Anita Trezvant-Lopes, John Udvardy and Pat Warwick.
The gallery will be closed for Thanksgiving and reopening for regular gallery hours on Friday, November 24. On Saturday, during Warren’s Holiday Festival, the gallery will host the Mt. Hope High School Guitar Ensemble at 1 p.m. and the J’uke Box Ukulele Ensemble at 2:30 p.m.
Regular gallery hours are Thursdays, 12 – 3 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
