Originating in the 1950s, Tea Dances were events organized on Sunday afternoons in the gay community as a safe way for LGBTQIA people to socialize since it was illegal until the mid-1960s for bars to sell alcohol to people known to be gay or for people to dance with the same gender.

Joining arc{hive} in hosting this event will be Kristi Dukoff of popular Kristi’s Kraftails who came up with the idea to host an event geared towards the LGBTQIA community.

While traditional Tea Dances included a formal tea service, arc{hive} is making the event their own by offering their unique drink options and snacks along with a few special surprises including samples of Kristi’s new venture: Rainbow Nuts, her “sparkled seasoned cashews”.
