In November, 2018, owner Tracy Woodard opened the doors to our new brick and mortar location at 16 Joyce Street in Warren, RI. The Perfect Sweet became The Perfect Sweet Shoppe. While we still specialize in macarons, this has afforded us the opportunity to offer so many other products that I love to bake, as well as, begin to produce confections from my developing WANT Chocolate line; a line of rustic chocolates and caramels that I have been working on for the past couple of years, a combination that is a natural addition to my “sweet life” of making macarons and cakes and cookies and brownies and cupcakes and… Our little Sweet Bakery provides a welcoming atmosphere, with my son Nick likely singing a welcome jingle as customers walk in, to serving locally roasted and AMAZING Borealis Coffee (soon to be introducing our line of Perfect Sweet natural flavorings), as well as, other locally sourced drinks, including Yacht Club Soda and Granny Squibbs Iced Tea. We will also be making our own European Style Drinking Chocolate (hot chocolate that is made from actual melted chocolate) mixed with sugar and milk…simple, rich, delicious… we even have free wi-fi for those of you just wanting a change of atmosphere for a little while! We are so happy to have come from the amazing home of Hope & Main and be able to stay in the up and coming, warm and welcoming town of Warren.
Currently, our bakery is open 4 days a week (Wednesday to Saturday), allowing for the opportunity to bake the rest of the days, as we do lots of wholesale, special orders, and catering as well!
“Neighborhood joint”, “pub”, “bar”, “tavern”, “family restaurant” … we’ve been called a lot of things but we’ll leave the job of categorizing The Square Peg up to our customers and all those “yelpers” out there. Our job is to make you feel at home from the minute you walk in our door until the time you leave. Our food philosophy is basic….casual food kept simple. We use fresh ingredients and we try not to mess with them too much.
